"Very creative space, immediate contact with the owner and close to everything in Mindelo. Quiet neighborhood despite being next to the city center, maybe the dogs bark a little ;)"

"Ficamos 11 noites no apartamento com vista de mar. Passamos o Natal e o Fim de Ano.. A localização é muito boa, proporciona uma experiência de vida real em Cabo Verde. O apartamento é espaçoso. Pedimos uma chave suplementar e forneceram mais uma chave do apartamento. No entanto não forneceram mais uma chave da entrada do prédio, o que praticamente inviabilizou a utilização. A proprietária permitiu que fizéssemos o check out até às 11:00."

"A limpeza na cozinha deixou muito a desejar, tivemos que lavar a loiça.para a podermos usar. Não fornecem detergente de loiça nem esfregão, por isso o primeiro passo foi ir comprar. Tivemos que pedir panos para a cozinha. Não há toalha de mesa. Tivemos que pedir toalhas suplementares, pois só fornecem 3 toalhas para 2 pessoas. Na véspera da nossa partida deixaram em frente da porta lençóis para fazer a cama de lavado e 3 toalhas para mudar. Nos últimos 3 dias a internet não funcionou.. As grades das janelas são super pesadas e têm um sistema instável de abertura,. É preciso muito cuidado para não se fechar de repente."

"The best place to stay in Maio - Matia and Mirko are excellent hosts, always helpful and very communicative and truly wanting to make sure you have a lovely stay! They went above and beyond to ensure we made it back in time for our flight and for that we are truly thankful! The facilities are the best in Maio, room is cozy, bed is comfortable, everything is very clean and AC works well. There's a good breakfast available and the restaurant is also very good. In addition to this, there are a lot of activities you can book directly and we had a great time with our rented car visiting Ilha do Maio. All in all, despite some issues with travel arrangements, we had a lovely experience in Maio and would highly recommend visiting and staying in Pensão Big Maio!"

"The apartment and the facilities were excellent. The owners had thought of everything. The location was a gentle ten minute stroll into the town. Henning informed us of where to go for any items we required including a bakery, supermarket and fruit market- as well has supplied us with taxi numbers and tour guides . The kitchen was fully stocked with everything. For a self catering apartment it was fantastic. It was also exceptionally clean. The owners were really responsive to all our questions and when we were there Henning was also on hand for anything we needed to know. They even put up Christmas decorations for us. Wonderful hosts."
