"It was wonderful. Ximena our host was just the best. We loved the pool and the generous outside loungers and seating areas. It being March and the crazy hot season, the pool water was like bath water! The location was fantastic. Everything was beautifully clean. It was lovely to have our own kitchen, which was generously stocked up before our arrival. There was nothing to fault. We loved our stay here."

"Great place. The flat is clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need. Two terraces, the opportunity to eat breakfast with a beautiful view is priceless. The owners were VERY helpful and organised a place for us to store our two SUP boards by the beach. We didn't have to move or pump them up every day. THANKS On-site parking. "Martin and Gabriela are the loveliest hosts you can find. A couple who retired from Bavaria to build their paradise here, they are warm, hospitable, helpful and friendly. And you’ll get to stay in a paradise indeed in your time there. Their breakfast are of home made jam, bread, preserved fruits. The eggs are all from free range chicken reared in their yards. And very good coffee too. You will get to know their lovely pet Rocky, a husky, and another smaller dog whose name I forgot. There’s also a cat Sisi. They will pick u up by car from your bus stop off . Depending on the circumstance they may even give you a tour of the local towns. The rooms are clean and comfortable. With free WiFi. All in all I couldn’t have found better place to stay and hosts! ☺️"

"Everything about the space was great, the location is very quiet and next to the ocean. The private dock was an absolute treat. The house was clean and well thought out. Lots of detail was put into the property and we really enjoyed it."

The ants were a problem, but that just happens in Bermuda anyway. We sprayed some bug spray and they died down. The wind was sometimes a problem and some of the outside furniture was not secured. But im assuming this got fixed fairly quickly.

"Amazing place- very special. Large accommodation. Loved having ac in the bedrooms. Well equipped. Lots of wildlife in the garden, we woke one morning to a whole troupe of howler monkeys in the tree above our house and we were able to sit in the lookout area and watch them. Great location - very close to beach and cafes. Owner responsive and helpful."

Kitchen equipment could do with a bit of a refresh - eg chopping boards. And it's more expensive than anywhere else we stayed - but it was totally worth it, we loved it.

"Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig gelegen und komfortabel, die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir zwei Bäder hatten und der schöne Garten, in dem man gemütlich frühstücken konnte. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab auch die Möglichkeit dass für uns traditionelles Essen gekocht wird, was sehr lecker war, und unsere Wäsche gewaschen wird. Wir bedanken uns sehr herzlich und freuen uns, nochmal wieder zu kommen :)"

"Beautiful property atop a hill, with nice views of the surroundings (including a view of the Queen's Palace). Very clean. Elegant decor. Comfortable beds. Access to private swimming pool (competition-length, which is great for serious swimmers), a pool-house equipped with grill, bar, tables, and games (ping pong and foosball), and a private playground for younger children. We ordered 1 meal that was excellent, served in-house by the hosts. The hosts live in a separate unit on the property and they were available whenever we had questions. One of the hosts used to be a competitive swimmer and she gave the children a swim lesson. A relaxing place if you want to get away from the bustle of downtown Tana."

Somewhat difficult to find if you're driving yourself, but that's no fault of the hosts and the isolation does make the property more peaceful. Besides, property access won't be a problem if you ask the hosts to organize transportation for you (either car or motorcycle). There was a water shortage due to a drought at the time of rental, but again that's no fault of the hosts. We just had to be careful about our water consumption and it all worked out just fine. Treat the hosts with respect and they will definitely return the favor (they surprised us with freshly baked bread on our last day!)

"Wonderful authentic location, close to Gustavia and on small sandy beach. Very well maintained and feels brand new. We loved to watch the locals to come to the pier in front of the house and gather for sunset. Most beautiful sunset on the porch. Gym is a great perk. Beds are very comfortable and the house is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed."

"It was so well equipped for our family. The small pool was great for my 3 year old. We had our own private entrance, patio and outdoor sitting area. It felt safe and provided a restful place for us to call home for 5 days. Many beaches nearby, one within walking distance."

There are tons of mosquitos and tiny ants. This was observed elsewhere on the island that we stayed too and is not particular of this property. Be prepared with your own insect repellent.

Some notes rather than criticism for owners: It would be better if there had been a different way to get in touch. To activate the Cook Islands SIM we bought in advance we need to be able to get onto the internet. So we couldn’t contact them to get the code & my phone wouldn’t connect to international roaming. If we’d been given the code the day earlier then it would have saved the stress. Also there was no information book, so once we got inside, getting the Wi-Fi code, so we could contact the owner easily, was really difficult (& expensive with international roaming).

Nothing really. However, it would be great if the property had a loundry machine, it gets tricky without one for longer stays with family. Internet connection would be great addition as well.
