Keskkonnasõbralik Basecamp Oulanka loodud Kuusamos, Oulanka rahvuspargi kõrval. Kohapeal on hommikusöögisaal ja erarand. Turvaline Garaaž ja jalgratta rentimine on tasuta. Basecamp'i puitpaneelidega tubades on kirjutuslaud ja privaatne dušiga vannituba. Külalised saavad nautida dekoratsioont järvele või aiale. Mõnel toal on rõdu. Piirkonnas on populaarseteks tegevusteks suusatamine, jalgrattasõit ja kalapüük. Kohapeal on suusavarustuse ja rasvaste jalgrataste laenutus ning suuskade hoiuruum. Läheduses on tuntud Karhunkierrose matkarada ja Jyrävä juga. Puhkemajake asetseb Kuusamo lennujaamast 55 km kaugusel.

"Great place to be. It's possible to start any hiking trail directly from the basecamp, e.g. small bear trail with stunning views around the trail and several picnic areas along the way. Nature feeling pur! Sauna included (sauna hours to be reserved for private use). The cost for dinner can be booked on top, but prices for salat, main dish and cake are a little too high (25 - 35€/persons depending on the main dish). But overall it was a nature experience of it's best. The basecamp can really be recommended."
"Missing at least a water cooker on the room, but if you have your on thermal bottle hot water can be get from the central kitchen if you ask. Great service as the temperature wasn't that high as we arrive, only 6-8 degree C."

"The location was good, close to Karhunkierros. You could swim at a nice beach whenever you wanted. In the evening, there was a private sauna shift. Breakfast was good also."
