"COULD HAVE DONE WITH SOMEONE ON RECEPTION ALL THE TIME. COULD HAVE DONE WITH THE WARDRODE IN THE BEDROOM NOT THE BATHROOM. SINK UNIT IS A BIT TO HIGH AND THE BATH WAS CLEAN BUT LOOKED A OLD AND TIRED COULD DO WITH A SMALL SAFE"

"Very spacious room. Bed very comfortable. Staff very accommodating, we were travelling from Austria and got delayed in severe traffic in Germany meaning our arrival was very late. They did everything they could to make sure we got late check in."

"The staff were extremely friendly and polite and did all they could to assist. The location was fantastic, in the middle of the town and just off the main shopping street; which provided a myriad of food options from fast food, to cafes, and restaurants. I was permitted to leave my luggage there while I went to visit some war cemeteries after check out."

"The only mention I have is that there was no lift to the accommodation levels, so any luggage had to be carried upstairs."

"Our family stayed in 3 rooms at the Hotel Joly for the World Cup Rugby in nearby Lille. The hotel is family run and the staff couldn't do enough for us although few of them spoke English. Our room was huge with great facilities and a pretty comfortable bed. Breakfast was good - a Continental with meat & cheese and with the best hours I have ever experienced - 7.30 - 11am! I was mislead by some internet information which suggested there were very regular trains to Lille from Armentieres- there are only 2 per hour which finish quite early in the evening - so we had to use taxis to get home after the games. These were easy to organise though and not too expensive. All in all the Hotel Joly was a great place to stay for the rugby - much cheaper than staying in Lille itself and we were made very welcome."
