"The house is full of character and history but the room had modern heating, a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. We also really enjoyed our breakfast and chat to the host in the grand but not imposing dining room. We only stayed one night but the town and surrounds we saw on the way out made us wish we were staying longer."

We especially liked the human experience, as we were welcomed personally by Charles, who is a perfect host, discreet, and also always a message away. "The apartment is lovely, spotlessly clean, well located just moments from the centre of town and near everything you might need. Being able to prepare meals in the kitchen and do a load of washing was fantastic. A few minutes walk to shops, banks, eateries and the beach. Also very quiet and a nice balcony for enjoying meals overlooking the Ferris wheel. Both the building and apartment are very secure and perfect for anyone seeking a home like environment, particularly any single female travellers."
