"A very warm and helpful host who gave us great support. My mother unfortunately injured herself while hiking and he didn't hesitate for long and applied hot compresses with salt. As she could no longer walk, he even gave her a walking frame and drove us personally to the train station on our departure. The location was great. "Located in a quiet, idyllic location near the town center, it felt like a little retreat every time we returned home. It’s a spacious house which keeps cool due to the tiling and multiple doors you can open. We didn’t need air con in September. We could close the gates so the dogs couldn’t get in, this allowed the kids to play outside. The three year old was so excited to have swings. After time in the outer islands we really needed to freshen up, so the showers and washing machine were helpful. There was good amounts of drying space, the kitchen was fully functional, and we were given our space to enjoy our holiday."

Tonga is super basic so expectations of any accomodation need to keep this in mind.

"Everything: location, interior design, hospitality, cleanliness, the fact that there is a private gated parking for the guests! I felt like visiting someone’s house, not a hotel, it was so cozy and calm. I will definitely stay there again in the future!"

Tout était appréciable, au niveau de l’emplacement et pour l’espace d’ensemble. La piscine a un petit problème de fuite d’où un niveau de hauteur d’eau un peu bas. Ceci n’a que très peu altéré le plaisir de s’y être baigné.

Intermittent electricity due to poor infrastructure in Mount Hagen. The room is outside off a veranda so when it rains and the wind blows you might also get wet when going inside to use the toilet. I would have preferred a firmer mattress and slightly larger room.

the road on the way was the biggest problem if you have small vehicle will be best to drive down with a 4X4 vehicle

The toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. It feels a bit out of town but only a short drive away.

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times

"Amazing location right on the beach, quiet surroundings yet not too far away from shops, restaurants and the city center. The house was spacious and clean with A.C., a fan and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. Mr. Dagobert was very kind and welcoming, he also picked us up from the station. Thank you, it was a really nice stay!"

Keep in mind the accomodation is very basic and I think some renovations could be done, for instance our room didn’t have mosquito nets.

"The location just off the highway was perfect for me and I was able to book it on the travel day. There was a comfortable family vibe and the staff was extremely friendly. They made me perfect fried eggs for breakfast, served in a beautifully decorated room that had a large selection of bread, jams, cheeses, meat cuts, yoghurt, cereals, fresh juice, different kinds of coffee and tea."

The main entrance was closed at arrival, so I had to find the barn door to get in. There are parking spaces in front of the property, but if you arrive during dinner service, these might be taken by restaurant guests.

"Hostal is in a very quiet location. There is a lot of space around to park the car. Room had a perfect hard mattresses, was very clean and air condition worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Great location in the heart of the old town. The property also has a wonderful roof terrace which gives good views over the mosque and old town. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. Great sleep despite being in the centre of the old town (no traffic noise). Excellent value for money."

Possibly the size of the bathroom is a bit small, but that was my fault as I chose the single room.

"Lovely jamaican couple running a little Guest House just 5 min away from the beach. The highlight of the stay was the pool and the served food for dinner. I highly recommend eating at the Guest House! The rooms were spacious and nicely temperature thanks to the well working AC. If you looking for a nice and peaceful place to stay close to kokrobite, don't miss out on that one!"
