"Nice authentic guesthouse with every comfort you need. Friendly owner and really helpfull staff. Had a great local dinner and excellent breakfast. The quiet area with sheep running around makes it even more special. Excellent to discover Hengifoss and surroundings."

"The location in the middle of nowhere is just superb. The gentleman in the reception was really kind and there were 2 lovely doggies to welcome us too! The room was spacious, clean and with some essential stuff in the “kitchen” (kettle, coffee, tea, cups and glasses). The breakfast was really good, in a big dining room with a variety of choices that he cooked himself. Really liked the place! The hotel is only a 5 min. Drive from Hengifoss so don’t miss out!"

Is easy to park and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.The house is what you expect for a "Icelandic traditional house" and perfect for those we don't want a hotel chain. "It truly is a Wee Cosy House. I would like to start by saying that it was the one and only accomodations in Iceland where we were provided with house shoes (we forgot to pack) which was great. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed in the kitchen - we cooked a lot too! Wish we stayed longer"

"The property was amazing, such a lovely modern, well-equipped villa, literally in the middle of nowhere, yet just a ~30 min drive from the closest town! It's rare to say this on Booking, but in reality it is better than what you see on the photos. 10 of us stayed there for 2 nights. Super easy to communicate with the hosts and to get in - there is a lockbox at the door. The villa was squeaky clean, the rooms and beds super comfortable and the kitchen is impeccably equipped with everything you don't even know you might need. The highlight, of course, is the outdoor hot tub, which can comfortably fit 12 people. Watching the northern lights from there was quite literally a life-changing experience. The hosts were super nice and easy to communicate with, also shared with us a a super helpful information pack about the area and what we can do while we are there. 11/10 would recommend!"
