Heritance Kandalama on küngastel paiknev sereen puhkusepaik, kust avaneb panoraamvaade Sigiriya kaljudele. Sellel silmapaistva arhitektuuriga ainulaadsel disainhotellil on kolm muljet avaldavat basseini ning külalised saavad harrastada linnuvaatlust ja teisi eksootilisi tegevusi. Kandalama Heritance asetseb UNESCO maailmapärandi nimistusse kuuluvatest huviväärsustest, 2000 aasta vanusest Dambulla koopatemplist ja Sigiriya kaljukindlusest, 20-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel. Viietärnihotell jääb lennujaamast 3,5-tunnise autosõidu kaugusele. Avarates tubades on rotangmööbel ja puidust paneelid. Igas toas on privaatne vannituba, mille ülisuured klaasseinad lasevad sisse palju päevavalgust. Hotellil on tenniseväljakud, hea sisseseadega jõusaal ja tuntud lõõgastuse pühakoda Coco. Sri Lanka lummavalt kaunite loodusmaastikega tutvumiseks korraldab elamu erinevaid ekskursioone, kaasa arvatud mägirattaretki ja järvesafareid. Päeva saab alustada hommikusöögiga järve ääres ning meeldejäävalt õhtustada on võimalik lähedases koopas. Restoranis Kanchana toimuvad iga päev rahvusvaheliste roogadega teemaõhtud. Einete kõrvale saab nautida vaadet Sigiriya kindlusele ja Kandalama järvele.

"We had such a good, memorable time here. Taken very well care of by Manju (the owner), we enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the wild, off the beaten track, with beautiful nature all around us. The food was delicious and filling, vegetarian and vegan diets catered for completely. They lit us a fire one night and we enjoyed dinners by candlelight every night. The beds were super comfy and the large hut that we stayed in was very spacious - good for all bags and clothes. Manju organised our safari day and our trip to a local beach. He was ready to meet our every need and was very kind and friendly with our children too."

Our half day (evening) Safari guided by Nikki was great and we noted that most other vehicles in block A didn’t have a guide and hence struggled to spot wildlife. Some food was very good - especially the curries at lunch. We loved the set up for the dinner by the bonfire. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly."
