Clifftop Modern Apartment

"The appartment and the terrace are bigger than in the photos. It is very nice and bright, you have a big "baie vitree" overlooking the church (the red roof has a beautiful colour in the morning sun) and a side view on the Mellieha bay. The appartment is modern, clean and well equipped. There is a small supermarket Spar cca 8 minutes walk, another bigger one 15 minutes walk, 5 minutes by car, pharmacy 10 minutes walk. I had a rental car so can't speak for the public transportation, but finding parking was never an issue at the appartment or anywhere else (apart from Valletta, which is probably full all year round). Maria is a great host and a very warm person. We arrived late in the evening and she was there to greet us and answer all questions we might have had. She also booked boat tickets for Comino for us on a very short notice, she would advise us as to what to see and do."

"Nothing that is in Maria's power but I feel I should mention it although it was not an issue for us - there is a construction site on the opposite side of the road where the workers start early in the morning."

"There was a repeating creaky noise, especially during windy nights, which seemed to come from above the apartment. It’s not the host’s fault, but the noise made it difficult to sleep in the main bedroom, so we moved to a different one."

"Beautiful bright large apartment with excellent views of the sea, town and beach. We loved watching the sunset over the sea from the balcony. It had everything we needed and the location was 10 mins walk from the centre of town. There was some building work nearby but it didn’t bother us too much as we were out most of the day and the builders were gone by the time we returned. We would love to stay again."

"The viewpoint was amazing. As we stayed in Mellieha we could easily get to Gozo, Comino and the best beaches of Malta. The apartment was clean and grand. Also the owner was very welcoming and helpful."

"Beautiful view, cleanliness, fully furnished like home, plenty of space for the whole family, comfortable beds and sofa... there's not much to criticize about the apartment. Local shops, pleasant restaurants, and very nice sandy beaches are within reasonable distance (as for the beaches, "less fit" individuals should be aware of the relatively steep elevation, which can be quite challenging to overcome, especially in higher temperatures; on the other hand, Malta is teeming with affordable taxi services or busses of all kinds). Interesting local excursions (can also be booked at reasonable prices through the helpful and friendly hostess). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay."

"The chairs at the table and on the terrace aren't very comfortable and are quite noisy when moved, which might not be pleasant for those who have an exceptional level of respect for the neighbors below :-). Additional charge for air conditioning, although the fee is more symbolic and motivating to energy savings, should be mentioned in advance."

"Mrs. Maria- the owner of the apartment, is very nice and always helpful. In case any question, doubts regarding your stay in Malta or any other issue just ask her, for sure she can help. The apartment is perfect, very clean, very large with a great view from the balcony, very vell-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds in 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with the washing machine. There is everything you need for a short or long stay in Malta. Good location, near restaurants, bars, shops, bus stop and other attractions, not so far to the beach and ferry to Gozo island."
