"The hotel is exactly what you expect when you think of a posada. It is old and beautiful, and therefore has character. Do not expect to get a modern sleeping factory. But, if you want to feel like you're living in an Mexican hacienda then this is the place for you. Staff is super helpful. Oh, and quite unique for this part of Xalapa: it has it's own parking."

"It is a lovely old style property. The gardens were lovely, and it was very peaceful when we were there. The breakfast was good and the service by the lady there was friendly. It is a bit more expensive than going out, but you have the blessing of having it right there."

We were asked to sign to say we would pay for any damage we caused, which is fine, but when we asked they check the room before we left to ensure there was no damage and subsequently return the form to us the receptionist wouldn’t, giving various strange reasons."

"Great Stay at a Budget Hotel I recently stayed at this budget hotel and was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. There was always someone at the front desk, usually the owners, which made me feel very welcome and safe as a solo traveler. My room was small but to be expected; both the fridge and air conditioner worked silently, allowing me to get a good night's sleep. The shower had warm water, which was a nice comfort. The hotel is well looked after and it is only a 10-15 minute walk to downtown where all the music and action is. Highly recommended for a budget-friendly yet comfortable stay! "
