Madang Resort

"Prime location directly on the shore with a great view to Krangket Island and possibly Karkar volcano (if weather is clear) We stayed at the separate beachfront houses, which have a large, spacious room on two floor levels, a large balcony and a very effective air conditioning. Much nicer than the standard rooms in the main building with view to the parking lot. The restaurant upstairs from "haus win" has good aircon and a-la-carte menu. The "Catch-of-the-day" is always a good choice if you like fish with local-style veggies."

"Too bad the "haus win" was closed. I love the open-air atmosphere for dinner and snacks in-between."

"The location is perfect. We stayed in the villa which met our expectations. I love the friendliness of the staff . The restaurant was great , I read some reviewers said it was costly but i didn't think so . The price of food is high anyway so we can't say it's costly. My family loved the meals especially the chefs specials which was a three course meal for K80.00 not bad. . I will also say honestly the hotel needs maintenance here and there but overall still my favourite place ."

"We were bumped off our flight out of Madang so Air Nuigini put us back at the hotel . We were placed in the standard rooms . The rooms seriously need some standardising . The towels were old and one was torn and furnitures outdated and dirty . The aircon needs cleaning my kids kept sneezing . So I wouldn't stay in those rooms again even if it's the cheapest ."

"Having stayed there a number of times within the last 20 years, the location remains as great as ever and it is truly the best in Madang, particularly in regard to ocean views - the premises are awesome. Compared to the last stays at the resort the staff has much improved, is friendly and very forthcoming, most likely due to the new managers! Thank you!"

"The pizzas at the restaurant remain poorly seasoned as ever - they shouldn't be hot, but a bit more spices should be added!"

"It delivered what we required when we arrived each day. The staff were very friendly and served us with a smile and quickly."

"The only disappointing thing is that we were forgotten at the airport when we arrived. This could be put down to our flight arriving about one hour late. We were met by our friends who then delivered us in the PMB they had hired to come to meet us. Otherwise we would have had to bum a ride with someone else."
