Öömaja SUR paiknev võrgutav omadusvas 20. sajandi alguses ehitatud hoones, kus ei ole lifti. Cagancha väljak on vaid 400 meetri kaugusel. Elamuis on tasuta WiFi-ühenduse ja plasmateleviisoriga ruumid. Jõe promenaad jääb 300 meetri kaugusele. Elamui SUR tubades on nüüdisaegne sisekujundus, parkettpõrandad ja erksates toonides seinad. Mõnel toal on mullivann ja rõdu. Saadaval on kuuekohalised elamispinnad ja pesupesemisteenus. Ööpäevaringselt avatud olevast vastuvõtust saab lisatasu eest broneerida ekskursioone ja turvalist transporditeenust 30-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel asuvasse Carrasco lennujaama. Aadress Sur peitub peatänavast 18 de Julio 400 meetri kaugusel.

"This a wonderful hotel in the centre of the city . Perfect to spend a few days exploring Montevideo . The hotel is a bit old and you can see it but it’s still quite well maintained . The staff were especially nice and very helpful"

"The same thing I didn’t like in any other hotel and pretty much every building . There are no mosquito screens and mosquitoes are quite a big problem"

"The property on arrival looked exactly like it's pictures, the staff where friendly and helpful. We meet one of the farm dogs whom took us for a walk across the paddock to the creek where it went for a swim. Back at the ranch we meet the friendly hosts, dinner is a communal affair were you meet the other guests, on our first night was an amazing BBQ of local food. Our hosts enjoyed telling stories around the dinner table, it's here we learnt of the travels of the other guests and their recommendations within Uruguay.The next morning we went for a horse ride and off across the paddock with the dogs we understood why this is the land of the gaucho, the horses are so well trained and followed the instructions of the gaucho. The few days at the ranch went quickly and was the highlight of our trip to Uruguay"
