Need kolm majakest asuvad Matjiesvlei oru rahulikus maapiirkonnas. Privaatselt verandalt avaneb panoraampanoraam Swartbergi mäele. Külalised saavad lõõgastuda puhkeruumis, kus on puuküttega kamin. Jõel saab kalastada ja kanuuga sõita. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. Lähim linn Calitzdorp on 14 km kaugusel. Oudtshoorn on majutusasutusest River View Cottages 60-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel. "Perhaps a queensize bed rather than the double that is currently there. its a bit too small for a couple of tall people . If possible an aircon in the bedroom . and i thought perhaps a built in bench seating outside in an L shape with foam cushions on top would make it very comfy for afternoon reading , sleeping . the little couch isn't too comfy'. ."

"What a fantastic place, maybe the best place we have stayed in Southafrica. You can sit all day and Fall into trance over the view from the cottages. Magical. The cottages are comfortable and so well designed that you think you are in a classy hotel, but with personality. And a perfect personal service fron Gondwyn. And then all the things you can do, swim in the river, padle the canoe/kayak for free or take beautifull walks. Or just sit on the veranda and enjoy. Highly recommended. We were there for 5 days. "River View Cottage is a gem. The attention to detail to ensure guests are comfortable is very special. The views from the cottage is spectacular. We did the Steering Kloof hike and it was like walking in a fairytale world. We stayed three nights, should have stayed four. It is a place that soothes the soul."
