A wood cabin but with all facilities such as fridge, single ring cooker, air conditioning, huge varanda with room for a dining table and chairs plus recliner chairs and a washing rack. Wonderful views of the Duero river. Pick up the train (one kilometre walk away) to Pinhao - 30 minute journey along the edge of the river-for food shopping and long, lazy lunches or to Porto for a day out. Rail fares in Portugal are very cheap and half price if over 65!"

"Väga omapärane ja romantiliselt sisustatud luigemaja järve peal, kuhu tuleb endal paadiga veidike aerutada. Veidi kulunud, aga see ei ole häiriv, kui ei nõua öömajast erilist steriilsust. Veidi õõtsuvas majakeses oli väga hea uni ja meeldis ka meie väikesele koerale."

Ei sobi väikeste lastega, kuna majakese ümber pole piirdeaeda vms, õnneks meie koer vette ei hüpanud, kuigi vees toimetavad linnukesed olid väga kutsuvad.

"Great peaceful location with a beautiful view. Staying on this yacht with a caracter was really unique experience. The host was very nice. Parking in front of the marina was convenient."

"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."
