Alpha thun loodud Thuni järve ja jahisadama kõrval ning pakub puitmööbliga tube. Öömajais on uuenduslik gurmeerestoran, kus pakutakse hooajalistest koostisosadest valmistatud värskeid roogasid. Fuajees on saadaval tasuta joogid ja suupisted. Kogu elamuis on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Mõned elamispinnad on privaatse ja mõned ühise vannitoaga. Alpha thun hommikusöögisaal pakub erinevaid värskeid roogasid ning on auhinnatud kohalike toodete kasutamise eest. Thuni konverentsikeskus ja Schadau palee on majutusasutusist 1 km kaugusel. Thuni raudteejaam on vaid 20-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Jaama juurde saab sõita kohaliku bussiga (liin 1), mis peatub otse puhkemajai Alpha thun ees. Külalised saavad tasuta kasutada Thunersee'i panoraamkaarti, mis sisaldab ühistranspordi tasuta kasutamist ja piirkonna vaatamisväärsuste külastamiseks mitmeid soodussummau.

"This was a last minute booking as we were let down by another place. However, this hotel was very good. It was about 8 minutes on the bus from the station with the bus-stop right outside the door. We were given a card we could use for future free bus travel on arrival. The room was a good size and so was the bathroom - had a bath too. There was no air-conditioning but there was a fan, although we didn't use it. It was quiet at night but we were at the back of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming on reception and we were able to leave our luggage in a locked room after check-out. There was a kettle in reception, not in the room, with tea and coffee. Breakfast had all you would expect from a Swiss continental breakfast. Considering Swiss prices, this was a decent deal and included a breakfast."
"There was no air-conditioning, although we didn't need it for our stay, but there was a plug-in fan. There were no alternative milks at breakfast but I always have my own with me. A kettle in the room would have been nice but realise this is a rarity in most of Europe."

"Very warm welcoming hotel and the room was excellent. Great location and easy to get to/from the centre. Bus Stop is right outside the hotel. Access to Lake Thun is a couple of minutes away on foot. Breakfast selection was great. Overall highly recommended."
