Üle 800 aasta vanune atmosfääriga Stiftung Kartause Ittingen on endine Warthis asuv Charterhouse'i klooster. Sellel ainulaadsel hotellikompleksil on labürindiaed, privaatne piimapood ja toidukoht. Kartause Ittingeni suurel maa-alal on ka piimatooted, mis toodavad 6 erinevat juustu-, jogurti-, või- ja kooretüüvet. Kõiki neid saab maitsta moodsas gurmeerestoranis, mis peitub ajalooliste müüride vahel. Klooster toodab ka oma veini. Moodsates tubades on säilitatud kloostri lihtsuse tunne. Tubades on vannituba, televiisor ja tasuta traadiga internetiühendus. Paljudel tubadel on ka rõdu, kust avaneb perspektiiv privaatsele pargile. Thurgau kantoni kunstimuuseum ja Ittingeri muuseum asuvad samas hoones. Külalised saavad suurtes aedades ja parkides matkata ja sörkida. Ka on võimalik mängida aiamalet.

"Kartause Ittingen is a truly special place. The old monastery site has a cluster of beautiful buildings, lovely grounds and is perched high on the valley side such that there are fantastic views all day long. I walked up the steep hillside vineyards one morning and it was magical. The breakfast and evening meals were healthy, with lots of variety and high quality. The room was minimalistic, with clean lines, gorgeous furnishings and beautiful materials (lots of natural wood). Also loved that they had a book on steps to reduce your environmental footprint in each room. Hats off, Kartause Ittingen!"

"The nature around is very nice, a lot of green and beautiful scents. I am sorry we didn't get to explore all the surroundings as we didn't have time. But the garden is a joy to the eye. The food was delicious and many of the ingredients were locally sourced. Very nice surprise this accomodation!"
