"Tongan Beach resort is very isolated and great if you don't want to be found. The team there are fabulous, and the food is first class"

"The Resort is very isolated, and expensive to go anywhere. You are actually quite captive. Off season is not the time to go here. There are very few options for activities outside the resort. Apart from an island tour which is well worth doing, you are really confined to barracks, book reading (no TVs) and waiting for sunset drinks. Yes, there is some good snorkelling, swimming and kayaking, but that's it. No TV's or DVD library, no games as such. So, it's an awfully long way to go, and very expensive for just this. Unless of course that's what you're looking for."

"What’s not to love? The villas are beautiful with ocean views. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. All of the meals made by our incredible chef Matheus were absolutely delicious and something you would eat at a Michelin star restaurant. We loved using the complimentary stand up paddle boards and ocean kayaks to explore the beautiful coastline, and there is amazing snorkeling all around the resort! We saw tons of fish, healthy coral reef, a sea snake, a sea turtle, and even an octopus. The owner, Herwig, also arranged and booked a day of scuba diving for me nearby."

"Petra and Tony were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The place was super clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped. We were even given an upgraded room. The beach in front of the house is gorgeous, and watching the sunset and feeding the fish from the wharf was magical. Our little one loved it. The kayaks and paddle boards were great as well. I highly recommend Vavau Beachfront Villas!"
