"The hotel or resort is, without question, housed in one of the most beautiful building complexes I've ever seen in Nepal. Every stone, every room, and every decoration exudes a proud and wonderful history. My nepali friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the soothing tranquility, the green surroundings, and the proximity to the Nuwakot Durbar. Our room was, as expected, clean and extremely tastefully decorated. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the beds were comfortable. The large bathroom was another plus. The ambiance is harmonious in every detail (even the lighting in the dark). The breakfast is absolutely delicious and varied. There are many alternatives, hidden corners where you can dine and relax. We stayed in the surrounding villages from morning until late at night and explored the area extensively. There are many hikes you can take."

"The price is relatively high, even by European, let alone Nepalese, standards. However, in almost all the incomparably cheaper & simpler accommodations, I experienced more naturalness, attentiveness, and warmth. I truly appreciate all the greeting rituals, etiquette when serving food, and other formalities. Yet, here and there, I often missed a smile, a genuine interest in the guest, small talk, and, above all, professional spontaneity. Personal food recommendations, offering an ashtray, or giving one's (honest and polite) opinion on specific questions are just as important, if not more so, for me to truly feel comfortable as a guest. Service doesn't stop with the cutlery being positioned correctly and the food being presented on the plate. Perhaps in the future, guests can be cared for with a little more enthusiasm and a more relaxed attitude, and I'm sure everyone will benefit from that. Charging 7x (?) more for regular water is also a bit excessive, especially in the very hot off-season. I wish the entire team a wonderful Dashain-celebration, many pleasant guests, and all the best for the future and .... STAY COOL!"

The staff are very kind and helpful and the food very fresh and delicious. I spent my mornings helping out at a local school and that is going to stay with me as the most wonderful memory. Another big plus is the super kind and friendly staff.
