Renoveeritud majutusasutus ehitati algselt 1900. aastate alguses ning positsioneeritud Sintra kesklinnast 4-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Tubades on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja privaatne dušiga vannituba. Kõikides Monte da Lua tubades on küte, televiisor ning tee ja kohvi valmistamise võimalus. Mitmed hommikusöögisaalid asuvad majutusist Monte 200 meetri kaugusel. Vastuvõtust saab teavet piirkonna vaatamisväärsuste kohta, näiteks UNESCO maailmapärandi nimistusse kantud Quinta da Regaleira mõisa ja Sintra rahvuspalee kohta. Mooride loss on 40-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel. Monte da Lua on veidi rohkem kui 30-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel Lissaboni Portela lennujaamast.

"Location is fabulous. Right opposite the train station and bus stops for palaces, etc. Just a short walk into the historic centre. We also caught the local bus to Cabo do Roca. Big, comfortable bed with conveniently placed sockets. Big shower cubicle, good water pressure and they even provide a hair dryer. The lady on reception was very helpful."

"The staff was really kind and took great care of us: sadly, a preemptive fire alert imposed the closures of the major monuments; the staff was truly helpful in searching and providing informations. When the weather took a turn for the cold, the gave us a little heater for our room (there was really no Need, but they thought ahead). The room was cosy and clean. Monte da Lua is really closed to the station and the city center is a short walking distance from It. If we had to stay in Sintra in the future, we'd surely go back to Monte da Lua."
