Hiljuti renoveeritud residents Varchotel kinnitunud vaid 5 km kaugusel Elvasi kindlusest. Hotellis on tüüpiline Alentejo arhitektuur. Valgusküllastes tubades on praegune dekoratsioon, satelliittelevisioon ja lameekraaniga televiisor. Kõikides tubades on stiilne sisekujundus ja laualambid. Privaatses vannitoas on kontrastsed mustad ja valged värvid. Olemas on töölaud, satelliittelevisioon ja lameekraaniga televiisor. Hotelli Restoranis Dom Januário on eraldi ala, kus serveeritakse iga päev hommikusööki Rootsi lauas. Teises piirkonnas pakutakse Alentejo piirkonna hõrgutisi, näiteks grillkana ning sealiha- ja lambaliha. Külalised saavad hotelli aias asuval väliterrassil päevalehti lugeda. "The location -walking distance to the beach was great. Peaceful atmosphere, very chill. Very well equipped with everything you need. Magnificent views from the room. Friendly staff, although it was off-season so everything was a little slow."

The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
