Loved the balcony - but could be a problem in the height of the season as it would have been overlooked if the rooms near ours was occupied as their balconies were very close. The description of the location was a little misleading as one of the pubs mentioned had closed down - some years ago, but the details had not been amended on the website - which did in fact influence our choice in Sandpiper’s favour, and we were disappointed that it wasn’t nearer the supermarket mentioned in the write-up, either. Also, I put my suitcase in the corner of the bedroom flat - and when I moved it, I could see it had picked up a lot of dust, indicating that the corners of the bedroom weren’t very well cleaned!

It would have been nice to have a bit more information about how you hire bikes and use the laundry (both had a charge) provided in the folder in the flat, but Edi was very good at replying to our questions.

"The room was spacious, clean and generally well-kept. Staff were friendly and responsive to our requests. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The only point to note is that not all the suites in this category have a view over Gyeongbokgung Palace - when we wrote before our trip to double check, we were told that most of those suites are booked by long-term guests, and when we arrived there were indeed no suites with a palace view available. However, our suite had a great city view, including Namsan Tower and a view directly over Jogyesa Temple. We also got to enjoy sunrise every morning from our room, so for a winter stay it was very nice. The hotel also kindly stored a suitcase for us for a few days after we checked out. Great location, highly recommend."

"There is a kitchen where I was able to prepare my own meals. All the facilities are included e.g a cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave etc It was a home from home apartment which was to my liking and style. The host Marcia is excellent and extremely helpful. I would describe her as a problem solver and very knowledgeable. Including Yolanda who does the day to day Management of the accommodation . She is always helpful and very friendly no matter how busy her day is . I have recently extended my stay for a further 18 days as I am very happy staying here whilst visiting friends and overseeing some renovation work on my own property."

Due to the fact that we are on a main Road there is ongoing traffic and the noise can sometimes be a bit loud from the music boxes the cars and taxi drivers have in their vehicles. There is no noise control on vehicles in Guyana. However, after a time you get use to it.

I liked everything about the accommodation and hospitality of the host.

"Borel is exception in my opinion, i have visited the property two times and enjoyed my stay each time. The location is perfect if you are looking for a place to rest, privacy, good security and comfort. Bonamousadi market is not far from the residence, very easy to get into the city if you want to."

From my experience, alot has improved. The internet speed is far better, reaction time for is very good, and the staffs are true human in their interaction with me. I think they have mastered the act of hospitality. I will visit again in my next trip.
